NEWS: NEWS: NEWS: I posted a article called the Beauty of Ambiguity that has been helpful to many regarding some of the controversies around the book. Every person has a right to an opinion, but there is much being stated that is simply not true - I still have no idea what a Black Madonna is. No, I am not a universalist!!! There is no ‘agenda’ behind my book - I wrote it for my six children. The Shack is not scripture, not a book on systematic theology, it is fiction. I love the community of believers and am not particularly bothered by how they choose to gather - I am the master of no one. People are people, and Papa has purpose in everything, and adores each of us. Some are upset that the book is ‘fiction’… sorry, there was no ‘intent’ to deceive anyone into thinking it was not (that is why it says ‘fiction’ on the cover, is endorsed as ‘fiction’ and sold as ‘fiction’). It would have made no sense to have the Foreword and After Word be non-fiction, but the rest of it be fiction. Also, I do not post every comment made; some are very private, a few are angry and want to provoke and some are simply rude and unkind. If you wold like to discuss strong opinions about the book (which I encourage), please utilize the forum that is set up for this: www.theshackbook.com (look for the Shack book forum. This site is not really the place for that and I appreciate your consideration.The audio book is complete and out. You can also download from Amazon (Kindle). You can also download off i-tunes to an i-Pod.The Shack has exploded in the UK, is a favorite read among Chinese University students and is showing up everywhere around the world (even Mongolia)…how cool is that. Multiple translations (35-40) are happening and should be out soon. About a dozen are out! The story is 20+ weeks at #1 in Brazilian Portugeuse. Next week will be the 45th week in a row that The Shack is #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list. Thank you everyone for all that each of you is doing. This is about the character and grace-full heart of the one who knows us best and loves us most. To the praise of his glory!!
